POCUS Logbook

International recommendations for practical experience in point of care ultrasound include 50 POCUS cardiac studies, 30 lung ultrasound, 30 Gastric and 30 eFAST studies. We have created this logbook portal as a means of simplifying the process of developing your own logbook of POCUS studies. All submissions will be reviewed by faculty, and feedback provided where required. Our own department’s requirements are set out below. Normal studies can be submitted. It is recommended that you complete this logbook during years 4-5 of residency training. Fill out the form below if you would like to have your own personal logbook page on this portal. Your logbook will be password protected, and can be viewed only by you and faculty.
